ASCDCL to display logos at 10 spots in city
Aurangabad, Dec 1:
Considering the proposal of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), the Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation Limited (ASCDCL), will be spending Rs 4 crore on the conservation of heritage structures in the city limits. The task is funded under the Smart City project.
Meanwhile, the ASCDCL undertook the task of installing ten attractive logos in different parts of the city. A logo reading ''Love Khadki'' was displayed near Khakeshwar. It may be noted that 400 years ago, the then town - Khadki - was found by the prime minister of Nizamshahi dynasty, Malik Amber. Later on, the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb renamed it as Aurangabad.
ASCDCL has vowed to glorify the past. Earlier, it had undertaken the preservation of nine heritage gates under the first phase. The work is going on war-footing and is hoped to get completed by March-end.
It may be noted that the display of logos in the city will develop affection for the city. Earlier, the guardian minister Subhash Desai had dedicated the logo '' Love Aurangabad'' on Jalgaon Road. Later on, a similar display was put on Jalna Road. Very soon, the logos will be installed in the open spaces near Amarpreet Chowk, Kranti Chowk, Naubat Darwaza (on VIP Road), it is learnt.
The ASCDCL deputy executive officer Pushkal Shivam confirmed that Rs 20 lakh would be spent on the task.
