Boy dies after sliding gate falls on him

Aurangabad, July 15:

A six-year-old boy came to his uncle’s house in the city from Washim died as the sliding gate fell on him while he was playing at Viyantnagar in the Satara area on July 15 at around 8 am. The deceased has been identified as Mayur Bhujang Bhande (6, Mohaja Ingole, Washim).

His uncle Malhari Bhande lives in Vijayantnagar in the Satara area. A couple of days back, he went to his native place at Washim and, while returning, he brought Mayur along with him. On Thursday morning, Mayur was playing on the sliding gate of the house. Suddenly the gate fell on him. His uncle immediately rushed him to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in an unconscious condition. The doctors declared him dead after the examination. A case of accidental deaths has been registered at the Satara police station. Constable B C Rathod is further investigating the case. Mayur’s body was handed over to his relatives after postmortem and was taken to his native village for the last rites.
