Campaign ends for M’wada Graduates Constituency
Aurangabad, Nov 29:
The campaign for Marathwada Graduates Constituency election ended at 5 pm on Sunday dominated by aggressive mudslinging on each other. There are 35 candidates including BJP, NCP, AIMIM, Bahujan Vanchit Aghadi; Aam Admi Party is in the fray. Each of them claimed victory in the poll. Election Department will keep an eye on all candidates as all the machinery which was under the administration is now in their control.
The election will be held from 8 am to 5 pm on December 1. More than 3.73 lakh candidates, including 86,909 women, will exercise their franchise at 813 booths. The percentage of female voters is 25 pc. A total of 937 micro-observers were appointed.
The highest number of voters are in Aurangabad (1.36 lakh) with 206 booths followed by Jalna (29,765---booths 74), Parbhani (32,715----78), Hingoli (16,794--39), Nanded (49,285--123), Beed (63,436---131), Latur (41,190---88) and Osmanabad (33,632---74).
The voters will have to identity proof like Aadhar Card, driving license, PAN card, identity card issued by local self-governing body, private industries.
There will be six feet gap between two voters at each booth given the possibility of the second wave of COVID. Marking will be done for this purpose. There will be a separate lining for women, senior citizens and physically challenged.
