Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a Central Government team arrived in the city four days ago for an inspection. The team inspected 69 wards in the city. On Saturday, they visited the garbage waste processing plants at Padegaon and Chikalthana. After the inspection, the team reportedly uploaded the details to the Central Government's app through an online method, said the sources.

The team arrived in the city on March 5 and is currently surveying the city’s cleanliness. In a survey of 12,500 points, questions are being asked about various aspects, including whether cleanliness is maintained in each ward; the collected waste is segregated regularly; sewage flows on the streets; how many garbage collection vehicles (ghanta gadis) are available; and trash is disposed of on the streets or not. A total of 20 questions are being filled out online during this survey. In the past four days, the team has inspected 69 wards (selected randomly).

On Saturday, female members of the team visited the waste processing plants at the Chikalthana and Padegaon areas under the municipal corporation. They inquired about the daily amount of waste processed, the methods used for processing, and how the processed waste is disposed of. The team gathered information on 50 questions related to these aspects.

Besides, the team also visited the municipal corporation's Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and examined how the water treatment process is carried out by the civic administration.
