The arrested has been identified as John Dyanprakash Vincent alias Bhimsent John (64, Natrajpuram, Killa Arsadi, Tutukadi, Tamilnadu).

Bimsent John was staying at Hotel Keys at Railway Station for the past two days. As the hotel employees got suspicious over his activities, they informed about him to the Vedantnagar police. The police kept a watch on him and gathered information. It was found that cases were registered against him at Cafeparade, Manipal, Dharwad, Old Goa and other places where he used to stay in luxurious hotels and order drinks, cigarettes, and food and later flee away without paying the bills.
