Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Pankaja Munde’s Helicopter Develops Technical Glitch Before Take-Off, Major Mishap Averted

A technical glitch was reported in the helicopter of BJP leader and Environment Minister Pankaja Munde on Tuesday morning, February 3. The pilot noticed the issue before take-off from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for Latur, preventing a potential mishap. Munde was scheduled to travel to Latur for a campaign for the scheduled Maharashtra Zilla Parishad elections.

She is currently touring Marathwada to campaign for the Zilla Parishad polls. Today, she was scheduled to hold campaign meetings at several locations across Latur district. For this, she was set to travel by helicopter from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Airport.

Just as the helicopter was preparing for take-off, a technical fault was detected. The flight was cancelled immediately for safety reasons. Due to the incident, the schedule of Munde’s meetings in Latur has been revised. To avoid inconvenience to party workers, an alternative helicopter has been arranged and is expected to depart shortly.

Although her programmes have been delayed, Munde’s office has confirmed that she will attend all planned meetings. Supporters are relieved knowing that she is safe.
