Aurangabad, Nov 18:

A one and a half-year-old boy was severely blazed when he dragged a pot containing boiling water on himself while playing at Saeeda Colony on November 14 afternoon. The boy died at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Wednesday while undergoing treatment. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Yousuf Mohammad Farooq Khatri.

Police said Yousuf was playing in the kitchen on November 14 afternoon. His mother was working and water was boiling on an induction stove. While playing, Yousuf dragged the pot of boiling water on himself, due to which he was severely blazed. He was immediately taken to the GMCH where he died in the morning on November 18. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Begumpura police station.
