Civic Chief welcomes 115 corporators through letters

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A total of 115 candidates were elected in the municipal corporation elections. For the first time, the civic administration welcomed the newly elected corporators in a unique manner. Municipal Commissioner G Sreekanth sent a written letter to each member, welcoming them.

In his letter, the civic chief stated that elected representatives and the administration are the two wheels of city development, and that development work will gain momentum through mutual cooperation. He expressed confidence that the corporators would devote their valuable time to strengthening civic services and ensuring that services are delivered within planned timelines by implementing new ideas.

He urged collective efforts to improve the quality of life of city residents and to work wholeheartedly to fulfill the expectations and aspirations of ordinary citizens. Through coordination, transparent governance, and comprehensive development plans, he invited corporators’ participation, suggestions, and ideas to take the city forward. Emphasizing that the future city looks toward them with hope, he called upon all to work with this awareness so that the city may earn recognition as a city of pride.

Since 1988, a total of seven general municipal corporation elections have been held. Notably, no commissioner had ever welcomed elected representatives in such a manner before. Commissioner G Sreekanth took this initiative for the first time.
