Aurangabad, April 16: Mahindra Finance, Aurangabad conducted a cleanliness awareness programme on hygiene and sanitation with the help of Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan in Zilla Parishad School, Murumkheda located 30 km from Aurangabad, recently.

A rally was organised using placards. Apart from providing buckets, dustbins, phenyls, straw broom and wiper to the school, Mahindra Finance distributed Dettol soap to all the schoolchildren. Due to lack of awareness, villagers and schoolchildren were unable to understand the importance of cleanliness of village and school surrounding. Earlier, the school had no proper cleanliness instruments and children were not aware about uses of phenyls and not practiced hand wash by soap.

Sandip Kothule of the company said, "After cleanliness awareness programme in the village through schoolchildren, villagers understood the importance of the cleanliness inside the house, public places and village surrounding.”
