This was approved in the recent management council meeting of the university.

The list of colleges penalised for non-participation in the Central Youth Festival in 2024 and 2025 will be submitted to the Pro-Vice Chancellor's office, and further action will be taken by the Pro-Vice Chancellor.

As per the decision in the MC meeting, the fee for the Youth Festival per student should be increased from Rs 100 to Rs 125, of which Rs 75 will be deposited with the university and Rs 50 will be retained by the colleges for the festival. This fee increase will be applicable from the academic year 2026–2027.

Participation in the District Youth Festival will be made mandatory for every college in at least 5 art categories. The Central Youth Festival will be held between October 5 and 8 in the upcoming academic year.

The folk art festival events presented at the district-level Youth Festival will be treated as the district-level preliminary round of the Lok Kala Mahotsav (Folk Arts Festival). In this festival, 5 prizes will be awarded in each art category in order of merit.
