Aurangabad, Jan 10:

Due to Covid-19 infection, funds of District Planning Committee (DPC) were seized from March 2020 to December 2020. The department had received only Rs 663.73 crore as compared to the final approved plan of Rs 2011.30 crore for Marathwada. But now the state government has approved release of funds to DPC. Aurangabad, Nanded and Beed districts have been given 75 per cent funding while the remaining five districts have been given 100 per cent funding. This will give impetus to the stalled development work in the division. The outbreak of the coronavirus caused the economy to collapse early in the 2020 financial year. Therefore, keeping in view the financial planning, the government had planned to give only 33 per cent of the sanctioned funds of the DPC to each district.
