Complete pending BoT projects on priority

In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, mayor Sameer Rajurkar, deputy mayor Rajendra Janjal, and standing committee chairman Anil Makariye have directed the civic administration to expedite the completion of Build-Operate-Transfer (BoT) projects, including the vegetable market at Aurangpura, the complex at Vasant Bhavan, and the building being constructed at the frontage of Siddharth Garden.

They expressed hope that once these projects are completed, they will generate revenue for the municipal corporation. Municipal Commissioner Amol Yedge also responded positively to the proposal to complete the projects.

On Monday evening, the municipal office bearers and the municipal commissioner jointly inspected the BoT works. The shops at the Aurangpura vegetable market are ready, and traders are eagerly awaiting allotment. The inspection also covered the vegetable market and Vasant Bhavan projects, followed by a review of the BoT project at Siddharth Garden and Zoo.

During the visit, it was directed that the municipal share of shops should be taken possession of immediately and made operational. The Mayor also interacted with visitors to the garden and zoo to gather feedback. Visitors from Satara and Jalgaon expressed satisfaction with the facilities and praised the administration’s work.

The additional commissioner Kalpita Pimple, deputy commissioner Aparna Thete, chief garden superintendent Dr Vijay Patil, deputy commissioner Savita Sonawane, executive engineer Vasant Bhoye, and chief animal husbandry officer (CAHO) Dr Shahed Shaikh and others were also present on the occasion.
