Conditional nod to Nanded Gurdwara for Dussehra rally, HC gives permission for procession with participation of 24 persons, two trucks

Aurangabad, Oct 23: The division bench at the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court comprising Justice S V Gangapurwala and Justice S D Kulkarni on Friday gave the conditional permission to the Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib Board, Nanded for organising Dussehra procession as per tradition.

The bench allowed the procession in two open trucks with 24 persons, five horses, a palanquin and historical Nishan Sahib.

In one truck, there will be 16 people with the palanquin and historical Nishan Sahib, while in the other truck there will be Guru Granth Sahib and 5 horses, a rider with a drum on one horse and four people standing down holding four other horses and three people from kirtan group.

There will be a police pilot and an escort jeep behind and in front of the truck. The procession should be completed from 4 pm to 5.30 pm. The bench warned that the procession route should not be crowded.

The entire ceremony will be held under the observation of the court. Its video will be shot. The beginning and end of the procession should be mentioned in the warrant. Ravinder Singh Bungai, the secretary of the Gurudwara Board, has given a written guarantee that he will be personally responsible for the breach of any condition.

Senior counsel Rajendra Deshmukh on behalf of Bungai and advocate general Ashutosh Kumbhakoni on behalf of the state government presented their case.
