Aurangabad, Feb 15:

The medical education minister Amit Deshmukh today said that the Congress party had started a ground-level survey in connection with the forthcoming Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) election. The survey also aims to know whether the party could contest the election on its strength.

Deshmukh was in the city to attend the planning meeting organised in the city. He had demanded fund for the development of Latur. " The year 2020 passed into Covid-19. I had requested the state finance minister to make a provision of spending seven per cent of the budget on health and medical education. The provision was four per cent during the last year," he said.
