Aurangabad, Feb 27:

The number of Covid-19 deaths continues to rise as cases surge across the district. Patients have been dying every day for the last 9 days. Since February 1, 26 patients have died due to Covid-19. So there is concern from the health administration.

A bank official had died of corona on April 5 last year in the district. He was the first victim of Covid-19 in Marathwada. Since then, the death rate continued to climb up in the district. However, the daily deaths due to corona had come to a halt after November. From November to January, patients died in two to three days. But once again in February, the graph of corona patients has increased. At the same time, the death rate has also been increasing. No patient died in the district on February 18. The number of patients dying during the day has gone up to 4. The Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), District civil hospital, municipal covid centres and private hospitals are full of corona patients.

74 critically ill in the GMCH

The number of corona patients admitted to the GMCH rose to 174 on Saturday. One hundred patients are in normal condition and as many as 74 patients are in critical condition. The number of critically ill and referred patients is increasing in the GMCH.
