The counting for Marathwada Marathwada Graduates Constituency election will be held at Marathwada Realtors Pvt Ltd, opposite Kalagram in Chikalthana, on December 3.
The polling was held at 813 booths in eight districts of the region from 8 am to 5 pm on December 1.
All the ballot boxes collected and brought to the strong room at Marathwada Realtors Pvt Ltd, opposite Kalagram in Chikalthana area till midnight.
The counting which will be held at Marathwada Realtors company on December 3, will take longer time than last years number of voting pc is higher. There will be 56 tables for the counting.
The fate of 35 candidates including Maha Vikas Aghadi candidate Satish Chavan, BJP candidate Shirish Boralkar
was sealed in ballot boxes yesterday. Over 3.73 lakh voters were registered while 64.49 per cent (2.40 lakh) of them exercised their franchise amid COVID preventive measures.
Officers appointed for different counting works. The name of the officers are as follows; Aurangabad district collector Sunil Chavan,
Jalna District Collector Ravindra Binwade, Latur District Collector G Shrikant, Beed District Collector Rahul Rekhawar, Nanded District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar, Parbhani District Collector D M Munglikar, Hingoli District Collector Ruches Jayvanshi, Osmanabad District Collector Kaustub Divegaonkar and additional District Collector of Nanded Khushalsingh Pardeshi ( (assistant returning officer).
Additional District Collector of Jalna Ankush Pinare was appointed for postal ballot counting at table no-I. Additional district collector -Aurangabad Anant Gavhane will be deployed at table no-2.
A total of 56 counting supervisors were appointed while 24 will be reserved, counting supervisor.
Also, 168 officers will be appointed as counting assistant while 22 will be reserved, counting assistant. A team of 11 officers were deployed to help the assistant returning officer.
All COVID majors will be taken for the counting while health service facility cell, police machinery and fire brigade force will be deployed from a security point of view.
There will be five rounds for the counting at 56 tables. After counting all the valid first preference votes, the quota of victory will be fixed.
District collector Sunil Chavan said that all the valid first preference would be divided into two groups and one vote will be added in one group, and this will be a quota for the victory. With the beginning of counting, all the votes will be put in 10X10 mixing drum. A bunch of 25 votes will be kept in each of 28 tables. Ballot papers will be kept in pigeon box as per the preference of each candidate. The real counting will begin after pigeon box handing over.
The counting which will commence at 8 am, is likely to complete by 8 pm tomorrow. If a candidate did not get required quota for the first preference, counting of the next available preference would start. One supervisor, three employees, will be appointed for every 1000 votes.
