Aurangabad, Nov 4: The number of Covid-19 patients in the district has crossed 40,000 mark. Two days ago, the District Information Office (DIO) had informed newsmen that the number of active patients has gone below 300. However, in reality, total 885 patients (646 in city and 239 in rural areas) are being treated in the district currently.

According to information collected from the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation and district health department, the total number of patients in the district has reached 40,739 and of them 38,990 patients have recovered. A total of 1095 patients have succumbed. The figures given out by the different government departments are not matching leading to confusion about the exact number of cases.
