Covid patients' rise in rural areas worries health administration; 91 detected in district today

Aurangabad, June 29:

A total of 91 Covid-19 patients, nine from the urban sector and 82 are from the rural sector, were detected in the district today. Meanwhile, 124 patients (31 from urban and 93 from rural parts of the district) got discharged from various hospitals after their recovery from the Covid-19.

As of today, 671 patients are undergoing treatment in various government and private hospitals in the district, while three persons died while undergoing Covid-19 treatment.

It may be noted that the nine patients, who were detected on Tuesday, included three from Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and one each from Krantinagar, Maulana Azad Chowk, Mansoor Colony, Harsul, etc.

Coincidentally, all the three deceased are women. A 51-year old from Ansar Colony-Padegaon and a 60-year-old from Paithan died while undergoing treatment at GMCH, while a 55-year-old (of Mhada Colony, Aurangabad) had died in a private hospital.

According to health administration, a total of 1.46 lakh patients were detected in the district, out of which, 1.42 lakh got recovered and 3,425 persons have passed away.
