‘CPVE Beneficiary Conclave’ held at Dr Hedgewar Hospital

The Chitaman Paranjpe Department of Ophthalmology at Dr. Hedgewar Hospital organised a CPVE Beneficiary Conclave to review three years of work under the Chitaman Paranjpe Vision Endowment project recently.

Over 3,000 infants were screened for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP); 452 were diagnosed and 170 required bilateral treatment, with 446 procedures performed, preserving vision. The project also covers low vision rehabilitation and community ophthalmology. Dr. Sanjay Singh and Dr. Mangesh Gadhari from UNICEF attended. Partner institutes participated. Beneficiaries shared experiences. Hospital officials addressed the gathering. Dr. Yogita Phadke compered. From the hospital, officiating administrator Dr. Ashwinikumar Tupkari, medical director Dr. Mahesh Deshpande, trustee Dr. Anant Pandhare, dean Dr. Swati Shiradkar, and project head Dr. Abhijna Surve addressed the gathering. The programme was compered by Dr. Yogita Phadke.
