Crime branch held two by raiding garage in Padegaon; confiscates four used cars of valuing Rs 18L

Aurangabad, June 29:

The crime branch police have arrested two persons by raiding a garage in Padegaon and confiscated four used cars valuing Rs 18.50 lakh from their possession on Monday. The accused Shaikh Saddam Shaikh Zahir (28, Ansar Colony-Padegaon) and Shaikh Shoeb Shaikh Zubair (31, Priya Colony-Padegaon) were dealing in second-hand cars. They would replace the new spare parts of the cars bought on finance with old spare and then would sell them in the market.

The duo was involved in buying and selling second-hand cars. They have purchased two cars on loan from a private finance company. There were not clearing the loan, therefore, there was a huge vehicle loan upon them. They removed the new spares of cars bought on finance and replaced them with old spares, while the new spares were fixed to the old cars they had brought to sell from Mumbai. Besides, they would sell the used cars by changing their vehicle chassis number and original colour. Acting upon the information, under the guidance of assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Ravindra Salokhe and inspector Avinash Aghav, the PSI R M Jondhale, ASI Nazeer Pathan, Shaikh Nazir, head constable Sudhakar Misal, Satish Jadhav, Ashvaling Honrao, Ravindra Kharat, Sunil Belkar, and Pandharinath Jaybhaye raided a garage at Ansar Colony in Padegaon and held two persons on the suspect. The cops also confiscated four used cars from their possession. Further investigation is on by the police.
