CSMC budget 2026-27 presentation

The municipal corporation administration will present the budget for the financial year 2026–27 to the standing committee on March 25, at 11 am. Municipal Commissioner G Sreekanth and Chief Accounts and Finance Officer (CAFO) Santosh Wahule will submit the budget to standing committee chairman Anil Makariye.

Officials and staff from the accounts and secretariat sections were busy throughout Monday finalising the date and time arrangements. This year’s budget is expected to be around Rs 3,200 crore. At the same time, the revised budget for the financial year 2025–26 will also be presented.

The administration has included several innovative schemes in next year’s budget. Taking into account essential annual expenditure, a debt of Rs 822 crore, and the municipal corporation’s share in various government schemes, the budget size has reached around Rs 3,000 crore.
