Demand for independent police station for factories
Aurangabad, Dec 1:
There is a need for an independent police station for factories in the Waluj industrial area. There have been efforts in this regard, but the demand has been ignored. The public representatives should pay attention and increase the police force, demanded the members of the Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) during the virtual half-yearly general meeting recently.
The ''Mission Patrol'' initiative, initiated by Massia, Waluj police and industrialists to curb the rising number of thefts has proved beneficial. A security agency was appointed by the Massia in October after discussions with the police administration. A security guard and a policeman were patrolling the night in between 450 factories in three sectors C, H and L in Waluj. This dropped the thefts to zero. Therefore, the entrepreneurs indicated that the mission patrol will be continued. Massia president Abhay Hanchanal informed that the ''Massia Connect'' program will be launched in December. Prithviraj Shah, Vijay Lekurwale, Sunil Kirdak, Kiran Jagtap, Narayan Pawar, Rahul Mogle, Bhagwan Raut, Abdul Sheikh and others were present.
