Dispute over garbage leads to assault on 63-year-old woman

A dispute over dumping cut tree branches outside a house escalated into violence when a 63-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted after the accused forcibly entered her home at Shantinath Housing Society, Gadia Vihar, around 3.30 pm on recently.
Jawaharnagar Police have registered a case against Kapil Rathod (40). According to the complaint filed by Lata Rajput (63), the accused, her neighbour, had been repeatedly abusing and threatening her, which she earlier ignored as she lives alone. On the day of the incident, tree branches trimmed in the society were dumped outside her house. When she asked society secretary Dilip Patil to have them removed, Rathod allegedly abused her, kicked the safety gate, forcibly entered the house, twisted her arm, slapped her, and threatened to kill her. Hearing her cries, Dilip Patil and Dhananjay Mule intervened and dragged the accused out. The injured woman was later admitted to hospital for treatment.
