In two separate cases highlighting domestic disputes among medical professionals, complaints have been registered at Satara and Cidco police stations.

In the first case, Satara police have booked Dr. Parmeshwar Gholve (38), a medical officer, following a complaint by his 32-year-old wife alleging harassment, physical assault, public misconduct in an intoxicated state, and death threats. According to the complaint, the couple married in 2012. The woman alleged that she later discovered her husband was addicted to alcohol. In 2024, her brother purchased a plot in their housing society for the couple. However, she claimed that Dr. Gholve began harassing and assaulting her to have the plot transferred in his name, often suspecting her character. On April 1, he allegedly assaulted her relatives, and on April 9, he reportedly created a drunken disturbance in the society, threatened to burn down the house, and issued death threats. She further alleged that despite receiving Rs 15 lakh in cash, 11 tolas of gold, and household items as dowry at the time of marriage, her husband continued to harass her over the property dispute. Dr. Gholve is currently posted at the Rural Hospital in Nevasa Phata. The complaint also states that when she left for the police station with her child to file a report, he allegedly attempted to run them over with his two-wheeler.

In another incident, a 31-year-old woman medical officer has lodged a domestic violence complaint against her husband, Rohit Gaikwad, at the Cidco police station. The couple married in 2021. She alleged that her husband and in-laws pressured her to bring money from her parental home to establish a private hospital. The dispute reportedly escalated, and she was allegedly forced out of the house along with her child. Cidco police have registered a case against her husband and his family members.
