Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

As a part of the International Women’s Day celebration, the Department of Post (DoP) will be organising a ‘Bachat Mahamelava’, to empower and encourage women belonging to low-income groups for savings, at the Head Post Office (HPO) in Juna Bazar, on March 8 (Saturday).

The Senior Superintendent of Posts (SSP) G Hariprasad and the Senior Postmaster (SPM) Suresh Bansode will apprise the women visitors about the various ongoing department’s various savings schemes like Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana, Recurring Deposit, Fixed Deposit, Public Provident Fund, Senior Citizens Savings Scheme, National Savings Certificate, Kisan Vikas Patra, different insurance schemes, Aadhar Card update, etc. The representatives of various social organisations and savings groups will also guide the women members on the occasion.

Meanwhile, DoP officials have appealed to the women visitors to visit HPO on March 8 (at 3 pm) along with their Aadhar Card, PAN card, two passport-size photos, and birth report of the girl child so that they could get their passbooks on the same day, stated the DoP press release.
