Dr Ambedkar's ideology must be put into practice: Pravin Dalimbkar

He was speaking at the 'Ambedkarite Communication Studies Conference' organised by the Metta Sangh at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Law College on Mooknayak Day.

Principal of the Law College Dr Pramod Hirode presided over the first session.

Dr Swarnamala Maske explained with statistics that the representation of Bahujan women in mainstream journalism is negligible.

Journalism scholar Yashwant Bhandare said today's journalism does not address the fundamental issues of the majority; therefore, there is a need to practice journalism in accordance with Ambedkar's journalism. Senior journalist Shantilal Gaikwad opined there is a need to bring about change within ourselves, as while mainstream media may not be conducive for change.
