Aurangabad, May 10:

Dr D L Maria (91), left for his heavenly abode on May 10, afternoon.

He was a renowned ophthalmologist and Head of department of ophthalmology at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). He retired as Dean from GMCH. He has been a dedicated physician and beloved teacher for several undergraduate and post graduate students. He was a very disciplined person in personal life too and was admired and loved by all who met and knew him.

He was an icon of a good citizen and will be remembered and respected by many for his sincerity and dedication. He is survived by wife, two sons, daughter and grandchildren.
