Dr. Sahasrabudhe stresses higher education, Indian data, and entrepreneurship for India’s future

Former AICTE chairman Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe emphasized the crucial role of higher education, Indian data, and entrepreneurship in shaping India’s future at two key events held at MIT-CSN.
On National Startup Day 2026, he spoke at the Startup & Innovation Ecosystem Stakeholders Meeting, organized by MAGIC Incubation Centre in association with Startup India, Institution’s Innovation Council, and MIT-CSN. Dr. Sahasrabudhe highlighted the need for technical education reforms, bridging academia-industry gaps, and fostering innovation tailored to India’s requirements. Vice-chancellor Dr. K. V. Kale of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University urged universities to become hubs for research and startups, while Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra, outlined government initiatives supporting entrepreneurship.The programme also featured addresses by director Ashish Garde MAGIC Incubation Centre, Innovation head Umesh Rathod Western Region, AICTE, and director general Munish Sharma MIT-CSN. MAGIC Incubation Centre marked 10 years of the Startup India initiative by releasing its newsletter, Discover MAGIC.
On Saturday, Dr. Sahasrabudhe also spoke at the 14th lecture of the Golden Jubilee Lecture Series, organized by Gramodyogik Shikshan Mandal (G.S. Mandal) at the ‘Manthan’ auditorium, MIT campus, on the theme “The Role of Higher Education in Making India Developed by 2047.” He stressed that India will emerge as a global power through advancements in technical education, research, and innovation. Dr. Sahasrabudhe was felicitated by president Dr Yagyaveer Kawade G.S. Mandal, and director Munish Sharma general of MIT Group of Academic and Research Institutions. Prominent attendees included vice-chancellor Dr. Karbhari Kale Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (BATAU) and principal Dr Sanjay Dambhare(Loniere), who shared insights on the progress of technical education at the state level. The programme was inaugurated by director Dr Nilesh Patil MIT-CSN.
