Aurangabad, Jan 17:
Dr Smita Awachar was appointed director of Tarabai Shinde Study Centre of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu).
Dr Smita, who is the head of the Sociology Department, took charge of the post from Dr Nirmala Jadhav on Saturday. The Study Centre offers postgraduate and certificate courses related to women study. Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole made her appointment.
