Aurangabad, Nov 26:

Engineering students within the jurisdiction of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) have been waiting to get the degree certificate for the past two years.

It may be noted that the degree is issued every after the convocation ceremony to the students. However, engineering students who have passed the final year examinations during the last two years were deprived of it. Director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation (BoEE) Dr Yogesh Patil said that the issuance of the degree was delayed as there is a mismatch in the result ledger of the final year students.

“The work is being done on war-footing to clear the problem. Students will get their degree soon,” he said. The future of students hangs in the balance due to the delay in getting the degree certificate. Different students union drew the attention of vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole towards the issue.

VC Dr Yeole warned the convocation department concerned to solve the problem. Now, the department started working on it.

The university conducted offline and online examinations due to COVID 19. It had claimed that the result will be declared before Diwali festival. However, even after 26 days, the result of BSC, B Com, Engineering,M A,M Sc,M Com second year was not announced yet. Commenting on this Dr Yogesh Patil said that colleges are not making available offline examinations date causing a delay in declaration of the result.
