Ex-chairman, talathi booked, They have been accused of selling Church of Nazarene land at Mahuli Shivar by forging documents

Aurangabad, Dec 9: A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the former chairman of the Church of the Nazarene institution Vinay Gaikwad and talathi Radhakishan Raut for allegedly selling the land of the Christian trust by forging documents.

The Church of Nazarene is a religious institution active all over the state. Currently, Sunita Sane is overseeing the operations. When she reviewed the details of the church property, she came to know that 5 hectares 70 R land in Mahuli Shivar in Gangapur tehsil has been sold.

In a complaint lodged with the Gangapur police, Sunita Sane alleged that the land concerned was in the name of Vinay Gaikwad in his capacity as the then chairman of the Church of Nazarene. In 2010, Gaikwad in connivance with talathi Raut changed 7/12 extract and other documents of the land and got the land registered in his name. On January 7, 2010 Gaikwad sold the land to Subhash Mitkari, a resident of Gajanannagar, Garkheda, said Sane. Acting on the complaint, the police have registered a case against the two.
