Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A car went out of control and crashed into the safety barrier on the Samruddhi Expressway after the driver reportedly dozed off. The incident occurred on Monday early morning in the Jambargaon area, near Vaijapur. Five passengers in the car were injured in the accident, and the vehicle sustained extensive damage.
The Warankar family from Itoli (in Jintur tehsil, Parbhani district) were travelling by car (MH 22 AW 3015) to Shirdi for pilgrimage. They had started their journey at 1 am. Those injured in the accident include Manoj Warankar (45), Sukanya Warankar (16), Divya Warankar (7), Abhishek Warankar (21), and Manohar Warankar (27).
Upon receiving information about the incident, highway safety supervisor Krishna Badhe, along with security Krishna Rathod and Mithun Rathod, rushed to assist.
