Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A delegation from German vocational education visited the Deogiri Government ITI on Tuesday with the aim of studying the vocational education system in India and enhancing educational cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation from Germany studied the working methods, curriculum, workshops, dual training system method and on-job training method of Deogiri ITI. Sohail Shaikh gave presentation about the institute to the delegation.

The German delegation appreciated the changes taking place in the Indian vocational education system. They particularly observed the modern equipment and training methods used in ITIs.

A comparison of the vocation education system in Germany and India was discussed and best practices from both countries were adopted. During the visit, the delegation visited workshop interacted with students.

They said that this visit would provide many employment opportunities to the students of Deogiri ITI at the international level.

Commissioner of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department Nitin Patil, director of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) Madhavi Sardeshmukh, Joint Director of Regional Office (DVET)-Purushottam Deotale, deputy director of ITI Pradeep Durge,

Ashish Garde, Arjun Gaikwad, Dr Dushyant Athawale, Dr Abhijit Aalte, Satyabhushan Gosavi, Dilip Wankhede and Rangrao Bulbule were present.
