Rich tributes were paid to the noted writer, critic Dr S G Amur in a programme held in the Department of English of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on Saturday.

As reported earlier, Dr Amur who was the former head of the English Department passed in Karnataka a few days ago at the age of 95. He had a lion’s contribution to the development of the department. After retirement, he had settled at Dharwad in Karnataka.

Department head Dr Uttam Ambhore said that the contribution of Dr Amur in establishing the department will be memorable forever.

Dr Geeta Patil, Dr Mustajeeb Khan, Dr Mehrunnisa Pathan, Dr Anand Ubale were present.
