The tender process for GMCH’s parking management has once again come under scrutiny after it was revealed that the previous contractor, whose contract was cancelled over malpractice, has participated in the new bidding. Hospital authorities are now considering scrapping the process altogether. Lokmat Times was publish a photo as soon as the new parking tender process is finalized.

GMCH’s outpatient department (OPD) treats around 2,000 patients daily. While patients receive free medical treatment, parking operators were reportedly overcharging them, a malpractice that was exposed through a detailed report. Following this, Dean Dr. Shivaji Sukre cancelled the previous parking contract and initiated a new tender process. However, authorities have discovered that the previous contractor, along with another agency, has participated in the new tender. Considering this, hospital authorities are planning to cancel the current tender process and initiate a fresh one.
