Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “Every good teacher makes arduous journey of students easier,” said Sonali Nawangul, the Sahitya Akademi Award-winning writer.

She was speaking in a ceremony organised at Rukmini Auditorium on International Women's Day, to present the 'Sakshma' Award 2025 to her.

MGM University and MGM Institute of Health Sciences jointly held the function.

Shashikala Borade, Anuradha Kadam, Rachna Sapkal, Dr Prapti Deshmukh, Dr Rekha Shelke, Prerna Dalvi, Dr Vijaya Musande, Dr Parminder Kaur, Tina Saharan, Dr Namrata Jaju and Asha Deshpande and others present.

Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, Vice-Chancellor Dr Vilas Sapkal, Registrar Dr Ashish Gadekar also graced the event.

She said, "One has to face fundamental issues to do good journalism. We should go to the specific places where the incidents are happening. One sees the situation and forms one's opinion. It is bad to form our opinions based on what we hear."
