Govt doubles NIELIT diploma course intake

The State Government doubled the intake of a diploma course offered by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) from the academic year 2020-21 to give local students preference.

NIELIT is an autonomous scientific society under union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology was established at the campus of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in 1987 as a solution-oriented model organisation for the promotion of Electronics, Information Technology and knowledge-based enterprise through the development of appropriate human resources and intellectual properties.

The centre offers a varied range of courses in the formal and non-formal sector in the areas of electronics and IT.

The intake of formal sector course Diploma in Electronics Production and Maintenance (DEPM) was double. Earlier, its intake was 30 now it will be 60.

The admissions in DEPM is done on the basis of 10th class marks and national level entrance test conducted by the Institute. The course contains basic modules of electronics deals with different dimensions of products, system and maintenance.
