Aurangabad, March 24:

Investment in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Aurangabad division amounted to Rs 25,501 crore, accounting for 10.69 per cent of the total investment in Maharashtra, according to the 2020-21 Economic Survey. However, this investment is negligible. Aurangabad is now the only place for having ample space for MSMEs. Industry associations are of the view that MSMEs investment will not increase unless there is a large anchor industry in Auric. In this regard, Sanjay Katkar, joint managing director, Aurangabad Industrial Township Limited (AITL), said, The infrastructure, facilities and marketing of the DMIC allow MSMEs to invest here. For this, on behalf of AITL, we are inviting many industries in the country for investment. Our efforts are ongoing. Massia president Abhay Hanchanal said that MSMEs accounted for 10.69 per cent of the total investment in Maharashtra in the Aurangabad division. This is extremely unfortunate. Investment should increase. Due to Auric, MSMEs definitely have room for investment, but till there is a big anchor project there will be no large investments in MSME. The industries can definitely grow once a big project comes along.
