Aurangabad, June 16:

A hardcore criminal on the police record committed suicide by hanging himself on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Akash Arjun Chate (25, Hanumannagar). The reason of the suicide was not known. Akash was addicted to Marijuana and other sedatives for the past few years. He used to create nuisance with his friends at night after addiction. In all, nine cases, including two house burglaries are registered against him. The police were searching for him for the past few months. A few days back, Akash attacked his brother with a razor, due to which his parents and brother went to their native place. Two days back, they returned, and his mother tried to convince him to quit his addiction habit. Meanwhile, he committed suicide by hanging to the roof of the house with a saree. His relatives then informed about the incident to the police. He was taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in an unconscious condition where the doctors declared him dead after the examination. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Pundliknagar police station.
