Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A crucial meeting of the Labour Board’s monitoring committee is likely to be held soon on the instructions of MLAs, with focus on decisions over pending workers’ issues and the appointment of chairpersons for the central, eastern and western divisions.

Over the past few months, several workers’ IDs have remained inactive since March, delaying benefit-related files. Workers and their families have expressed dissatisfaction, alleging that technical glitches, administrative delays and lack of clear guidance are affecting their livelihood. They also questioned how issues can be resolved if even inspection officers’ IDs are inactive. Workers have demanded that the upcoming meeting clear pending files, reactivate closed IDs and ensure timely delivery of scheme benefits. Swatantra Mazdoor Sangh president Amol Gaikwad has also raised these concerns. Assistant labour commissioner G. B. Borse said the meeting will be held under MLA authority to discuss possible solutions, but no final decisions can be confirmed yet.
