Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat praised newly elected deputy mayor Rajendra Janjal, saying, “The city is fortunate to have such a competent leader. Had he not assumed office, we would have been left speechless. We hope he becomes Maharashtra’s Chief Minister in the future.”

Shirsat’s remark came after Janjal said on Wednesday that Shirsat wanted his daughter as Deputy Mayor. Speaking at the District Collectorate during a District Planning Committee meeting, Shirsat gave a sharp rebuttal on Thrusday.

Substantial provisions expected for the city

A sum of Rs 1,500 crore has been requested for the city in the upcoming budget to address growing population, incoming industries, and existing backlog. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is expected to ensure justice.

On internal disputes in the NCP

On NCP internal disputes, Shirsat said, “One group supports a merger, another opposes it. Both factions’ merger seems unlikely. The Chief Minister has noted Rohit Pawar’s allegations. The accident inquiry report will clarify everything.”

Mumbai residents made the right choice

Shirsat also criticized Uddhav Sena leader Sanjay Raut. Regarding a question about their party chief Uddhav Thackeray, Shirsat said, “After losing the election, they speak to satisfy their ego. The actions taken by the court were appropriate. Instead of fulfilling contractors’ demands, relief should be provided to the people of Mumbai. We have always maintained this, but they never paid attention to the citizens. This time, the people of Mumbai have entrusted power to the right person.” He further added that the Saundhe Gram Panchayat in Ahilyanagar district has declared itself a caste-free village. “Such a resolution should be adopted across Maharashtra,” said the Guardian Minister.
