Aurangabad, Nov 14:

The investment at Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) at Shendra -Bidkin has come to a standstill due to Novel coronavirus. Around industries started their business in Shendra-Bidkin Industrial belt of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).

The land was handed over to 61 industries in Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC) while 10 of them started their business. Around Rs 70,000 crore investment is expected in the industrial estate by 2022.

The works to provide the facilities are being done on war-footing in DMIC which is spread on 10 acres of land. Required land was handed over to 61 industries including top Russian company in steel Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) and Fuji Silvertech so far.

The city, which is known as tourists capital, is gradually becoming famous on the global map as an industrial city.

Around 2.50 lakh youths will get a job when industries start on DMIC0 Shendra and Bidkin industrial estates. The international flight service was stopped since March with the spread of COVID. This has resulted in halting investment.

On the resumption of an international flight, foreign investors may visit the DMIC for the investment. Besides the railway track, there is an airport near AURIC city. So, investors may be attracted towards it.
