Amid growing concerns over adulterated milk, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conducted an extensive four-month inspection, testing 121 milk samples across the city. The results? No traces of adulteration, including harmful chemicals like oxytocin, were detected, according to food safety officers.
The inspection covered both loose and packaged milk from local dairies and major suppliers in Jalgaon, Ahilyanagar, Satara, Solapur, Kolhapur, and Pune. Despite frequent reports of contaminated milk, FDA officials stated that no consumer complaints were received during this period.
