Aurangabad, Nov 4:

Based on the complaint lodged by Yogesh Gajanan Karhade (34, Shivshankar Colony), Jawaharnagar police have registered a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust against the suspect Prashant Achlare alias Praveen Shinde.

As per the complaint lodged, Karhade’s wife and the suspect man came in touch in 2017 through a WhatsApp group. The suspect was well aware that Karhade was keen on bagging a government job. It was in the year 2019, recruitment advertise for the post of senior assistant at ZP was announced. Accordingly, the suspect claimed that he could help him bag this post as he has contacts with the political leaders. Falling prey to the trap, Karhade filled the recruitment form and applied for the job.

The suspect demanded a sum of Rs 50 lakh against getting him the job. As advance for the work, the suspect took a total of Rs 30 lakh. Out of which, Rs 15 lakh was through net banking and Rs 20 lakh by cash on three occasions.

But much to the dismay of the complainant, the recruitment process was called off. The man waited for few months for the recruitment process to resume, but it did not. Realizing that he has been taken for a ride, Karhade reached out to Jawaharnagar police and lodged a complaint, following which an offence against the suspect was registered on Tuesday.
