MESTA demands strict action, school closed in protest of the incident

Aurangabad, Oct 16:

The office of The Jain International School Principal was ransacked by the members of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Thursday over denying online education to children whose parents have not paid fee. Condemning the incident, the Maharashtra English Schools Trustees Association (MESTA) on Friday gave a call for online education bandh on October 16. The protest began with Mesta members locking the St John''s School on Jalgaon road this morning. All English schools in the city were also closed.

President of MESTA Sanjayrao Tayde Patil in a press conference said that online classes would not be restarted until the ransackers are arrested and action is taken against them. All schools in the state would be closed indefinitely from Friday in protest against the increasing attacks on English schools. All English schools in the city and the state have been asked to participate in the protest. This is the fifth such incident in the current year. The schools are trying to do their best in providing education despite Covid-19, however some are trying to trouble the school management. Such attacks will not be tolerated. Santosh Kumar, Manish Hande, Raju Nagarkar, Rishi Dabhade, Somnath Waghmare and others demanded security for the schools.
