A 32-year-old migrant woman worker was found dead by suicide in Balanagar, Paithan on Wednesday afternoon took her own life by hanging.

The reason behind her suicide is yet to be determined. The deceased woman has been identified as Runidevi Sahani (32, residing in the Ginning area of Balanagar), originally from Kumarbajitpur, Vaishali district, Bihar). According to police information, Sahani and her family had started working at a ginning factory in Balanagar around 20 days ago. The family was staying in a house within the ginning area. On Wednesday, around 1 pm, the woman hanged herself in the house. Upon receiving the news, the police rushed to the scene and took the woman to the government hospital in Bidkin, where the medical officer declared her dead after examination. An accidental death report has been registered at the MIDC Paithan police station.
