Aurangabad, Nov 25:

A 16-years old minor girl met a youth from Aurangabad on Tik-Tok social media platform and later intimated towards each other through chatting on Facebook and Instagram. The girl to get married to this youth came to Aurangabad after stealing Rs 17,000 from home. However, the youth, out of fear, ignored her and went to his native place. The Pundliknagar police, on receiving the information, informed her family members and the local police at Kolkotta and called them here. The girl was handed over to the family members.

The minor girl studies in class tenth. She was in contact with the youth from Aurangabad through video calls and WhatsApp chats. On November 20, the girl left home with Rs 17,000 and reached Nagpur by train. Later, she came to Aurangabad via Akola on November 24. During the journey, she was in contact of this youth. He had given her the address of the garage at Mukundwadi, where he worked. She directly went to the garage, but the boy had gone to his native place. She inquired about him to the garage owner. He called the boy on phone and he told the owner that he was afraid and hence went to his home and had not thought that she would come to the city.

Meanwhile, the garage owner kept the girl at his home and informed the Pundliknagar police station API Ghansham Sonawane, who contacted her family members and local police at Kolkotta and called them here. Her aunt and her husband today arrived in the city from Bengaluru by plane. The police counselled the girl and handed her over to the family members.
