Aurangabad, Dec 13:

A 40 years old miscreant molested a girl gone for a morning walk by removing his cloths and doing objectionable gestures pointing towards her at Samarthnagar at around 6.15 am. However, a youth ran to her rescue and made the man ran from the scene by throwing stones at him. The victim was so frightened that she had not come forward to lodge a complaint against the miscreant. Still, the crime branch on receiving the information launched a massive hunt for the miscreant.

According to the details, a 10 to 20 years old girl went for morning walk on Sunday morning at around 6.15 am as usual. While going from the Samarthnagar main road towards the Colony. Around 40 years old man came behind her on a motorcycle and stopped around 30 feet away from her. He removed his pant and started doing objectionable gesture pointing to her. The girl was afraid due to the incident and started shouting. A youth, Abhijeet Jire, son of the retired PSI from Begumpura was going from there at the same time. He stopped his motorcycle there and throw a stone at the miscreant and the miscreant fled away speedily from the scene. Abhijeet consoled the girl and asked her to lodge a complaint at the police station. However, the girl due to fear has not came forward to lodge the complaint.

Meanwhile, the crime branch PSI Yogesh Dhonde and others on receiving the information rushed to the spot and inspected the CCTV cameras in this area. However, the camera in this area was covered with the branches of the tree due to which the miscreant and the number of the motorcycle could not be traced.
