MNS demands to allow educational tour to Aurangzeb's tomb

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) demanded that the Education Department should be ordered to allow the students' educational trip to Aurangzeb's tomb in Khuldabad. A delegation of the MNS submitted a memorandum to the District Collector on Tuesday.

In the memorandum, the office-bearers stated that Aurangzeb had brutally murdered Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Aurangzeb's grave is in Khultabad.

“Since this grave is a symbol of the bravery of the Marathas, it should be shown to everyone, Party chief Raj Thackeray said in a public meeting on Gudi Padwa. The decorations of this tomb should be removed and from now on, no work including painting and repairs should be done there with government money,” it was mentioned in the memorandum.

A delegation led by MNS district president Sumit Khambekar. The MNS demanded that the Education Department should be ordered to allow for taking education trips to this grave.

The delegation members said that a board should be placed near this grave stating, "Aurangzeb, who came to destroy Marathas, was buried here."
