Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: In a fierce rebuttal to BJP leaders claims of development in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, AIMIM state president and MP Imtiaz Jaleel, launched a scathing attack, highlighting the persisting issues faced by citizens even after two years of the Handa Morcha. Speaking out against the lack of daily water supply and the unfulfilled promises of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jaleel challenged the BJP leaders to showcase the development in the district.
Jaleel's remarks came in response to union home minister Amit Shah, deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, and union minister of state for finance Dr Bhagwat Karad, who criticized AIMIM and Jaleel during their speeches.
Addressing the accusations via Facebook Live on Tuesday, Jaleel defended his stance on various issues, asserting his right to dissent and represent the concerns of the people who elected him.
Jaleel questioned the BJP leaders silence on pressing issues such as the plight of distressed farmers, the Adarsh scam, and reservations for Marathas and Dhangars. He openly challenged the BJP to identify significant industrial developments brought to the district.
Citizens ferried by cars
He alleged that the meeting on the Marathwada Sanskrutik Mandal saw a sparse crowd, prompting organizers to ferry citizens in cars from various locations, highlighting a perceived lack of genuine public support.
Do you have the right to speak about dynasties?
Jaleel also criticized BJP's accusations of nepotism, pointing out instances of dynastic politics within the party itself. He questioned whether leaders like Santosh Danve and Sujay Vikhe-Patil, inheriting positions from their fathers, could legitimately criticize others for dynastic practices.
